Dear colleagues!
We would like to invite you to take part in the 4th International Ornithological Conference on Birds of Prey and Owls in North Eurasia:
BIRDS OF PREY IN THE DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT
OF THE THIRD MILLENIUM:
STATUS AND PROSPECTS
Organizers: Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sport of Ukraine; Kryvyi Rih National University; Working Group on Birds and Owls of North Eurasia; Ukrainian Birds of Prey Research Centre.
Dates: 27−30 September 2012 (preliminary dates).
Venue: Kryvyi Rih National University, Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine.
Main directions of the conference:
− dynamics of fauna, populations and ranges of birds of prey and owls in North Eurasia;
− numbers and distribution of birds of prey in North Eurasia;
− ecology, behaviour and migrations of birds of prey and owls;
− birds of prey and owls in culture and economy;
− problems and results in protection of birds of prey and owls.
Languages: Russian and English (consecutive interpretation).
Deadlines:
Until 1 March 2012 − send your propositions for plenary reports, symposiums and round-table discussions to email address: krconf2012@gmail.com.
Until 1 June 2012. − we accept your papers and filled application forms. Please send them to email address: krconf2012@gmail.com. Application forms and publication materials shoud be submitted in separate files with indication of the author’s surname (eg. «Peterson-application.doc», «Peterson-paper.doc.»).
Publications of papers: by the date of the conference we plan to publish a book of the conference proceedings. Also we plan to publish another book of collected thematic papers dedicated to the buzzards (Buteo) of North Eurasia.
Participation:
Organization fee paid by arrival. Participants which had sent papers but didn’t participate in the conference would pay only for the book of conference proceedings and its shipping costs.
Accommodation: organizers will propose several variants of accommodation for participants: student’s hotel, hotels.
Meals: Meals are paid separately and will be organized for participants in the university student’s canteen.
We will inform you about the size of organization fee, price of accommodation and meals in the next letter.

Proceedings of the conference:
Papers according to the themes of your reports are accepted only in the digital variant, in Russian or English. Each participant can submit 1 paper where he/she is a principal author, and not more than 2 papers in co-authorship. The Programme Committee edits submitted materials and may refuse them if they do not correspond to the conference subject.
Collection of thematic papers on Buzzards:
We accept papers in all fields of research dedicated to Buzzards (Buteo) of North Eurasia. The papers must be submitted in Russian or English. Each participant can submit 1 paper where he/she is a principal author, and not more than 1 paper in co-authorship.
We recommend to follow a standard structure of papers: Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, References.

It is not clear to me if you want to publish a booklet of abstract or complete papers.
